Remember

Hello all my friends.

I don't know if I really expect anyone to really read this, but in case you do I hope you think enough like Diana to understand the next few random thoughts.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my summer, and now as it's coming to a close I am sad again for a good thing to come to an end. I don't know if it's my hatred for the end of things, or everything happening at once, or just plain hormones but this seems to be so rough for me. Missing everyone gets old at times -- ya know. When I'm home I miss all my friends and acquaintances, and of course when I'm at school I miss my family so so much.

This summer has been a major learning experience. I think I may have finally learned all the lessons (or at least the major ones) the Lord had for me to learn last year (I'm such a slow learner!) And even though life's random and unexpected changes come, and they come fast, I am reminded that the future is only as bright as the promises of God! What an amazing future we have in store for us. Daily, I become more and more excited for what the next new day will bring. But what is even more thrilling to know is that tomorrow is a brand new day without any mistakes in it yet.

So no matter what this next semester may bring or the semester after that or even the semester after that, I hope that you and I will all look at each new morning as a great opportunity to do something. I just hope the something that we choose to do will be done together and that it will be done to achieve something great.

I'll see ya'll in a few weeks.

Make Yourself at Home

Hello everyone!! Meet the newest Gee in town -- Captian. Isn't he just the most adorable thing in the entire world?!?! Captian is only two months old and is just too cute to stand. He is a major cuddle bug, too! So I thought I'd introduce him to ya'll. Vixie, Grace's cat, still isn't too fond of him yet ... we're hoping she lightens up soon.

We got Captian about a week ago. He is Dad's cat. It was so great how we surpised Dad with the kitten. We had a friend over for dinner and a movie, and when Dad walked in from work, Grace told him that the bathroom sink needed to be looked at before Scott went in. Gracie had put the wee, little kitten in a box on top of the sink, and as soon as she said, "Dad, can you look at the sink?" The box fell off the sink with a thud! Well, to say the least Dad was a little shocked when he picked up the box and found a little tabby with big green eyes looking up at him.

This is Dad's cat so he had the privledge of naming him. The kitten is named after the poem "Captain, my Captain" about Abraham Lincoln. I just call him Kitten!

Totally Random

Ok, so alot of things have happened lately. I figured the best thing to do this is tell you about the few recent things in our lives and then give the photos for each. Hopefully, this won't be as confusing as dumping everything and letting you try to sort through my thought processes (which is quite ... um ... awkward!)

We went to our grandparent's in Sebastian, FL to visit for a day and to see my aunt and cousins that we haven't seen in a long while. My grandmother, being the wonderful florist and gardener, has an awesome landscaped garden. This of course means a major photo op and nice perspective pictures. Her avocado tree has avacodos growing on it!! I have never ever seen an avocado tree with fruit on it before and I thought maybe you hadn't either. Isn't it interesting?

My favorite cousin was there. I haven't seen him years and years. This is Ben Byers. His nmom said before dinner, "They're going to make a memory, but I don't know what it will be." Well, we made a memory. We had a food fight. He creamed sour cream all through my hair!! I had to rinse it all out with the garden house. Hence, why I'm soaking wet. It was so so so much fun. Picture that...me, in a food fight!

Scott and Petra Metzger are a fairly new couple in our church. They both graduated from PCC two years ago and are serving in our church. We had a game night at their house and had a total blast!! Cranium Wow was the challenge for the evening...it was a definate challenge! The newest addition to their family is Star. She's an adorable three pound kitten and Grace and I just love her to peices! I love spending time with the Scott and Petra because they're our age and even though they're married adults we still have crazy times together.

This last little bit is totally dedicated to 'totally random'. Grace, Danielle, and I were speding Saturday together, and these are the totally random and awkward pictures they took while I drove. I still can't figure out with on earth my sister could not keep her mouth closed and why Danielle had to do the same. WEIRD. Like I said before it's totally random, so please forgive me.

If you can't tell, I had a boring Thursday night and thought I'd make a big post with lots of pictures. A lot is happening and this summer is passing me by and I just got here!! I'll update again on the lives of two pathetic, musician Floridians once something else happens that's totally unplanned. Thanks for keeping in touch ya'll I miss you and pray for you constantly. I hope your lives are going well and that you're busy but not hecticly busy.

Summertime in my Soul (and in Florida!!)

So, yes, I'm definately a Florida baby, but this is CRAZY!! It is so unusually hot for the beginning of June. Monday it was 105 degrees!! But I love it so so so much. I've been working, going to the beach, sun bathing, and playing the piano. Basically, I'm in heaven!
The Turnpike has given me a first shift Wednesday through Saturday. I was amazed that I got my old shift and position back...It was supposed to be impossible, but nothing is impossible with God. Mondays and Tuesdays I work at the Odom's Orchid greenhouse. This is great becauase I get to work with Grace and Caleb and we have way too much fun together of course. John Odom is such a dear friend of my family and he and his wife wonderful Christians with a great heart. But with it being so hot the greenhouse has been unbearably warm at times. I come back dripping in sweat!! Ew gross! Totally out of character of Diana but it's fun and invigorating and only two days a week (bonus!!)
My ocean has given me a wonderul welcome. It is so beautiful and relaxing, I just can't get enough of it! I am definately getting a tan now. It has been years since I've had any color on my skin so this is a good change. But I did forget how much a sunburn hurts!!!
The church in New York called and we are not going there. I am very sad about this because I don't know what the Lord wants. I know the reason why I did not get on camp staff or in a singing group, it's because I have to witness to the people I work with at the Stuart Toll Plaza. Please pray for me and my family in regards to the future. Waiting can be so difficult at times.
Well, thus far that is basically it. I'm totally loving life and everything going. I miss all my friends wherever they are whether working at home or traveling in the states or around the world. (I also miss Justin ... ALOT!!!) I'll keep ya'll posted. Here are some random pics that I've taken lately.

They're Ba-a-a-ack!!!

Hey Ya'll!!!

Long time no see! Wow, has it EVER been a whirlwind of a life, let me tell you what. Obviously, I never did a post about England...by now though I'm sure you've all heard about it. By the way -- it was royally, stinking awesome!!
Now Grace and I are back in good, ole' sunny Floriday. Took us a while to get home, though. We spent a few days with the Cox's which was a major blast. Dad candidated at a church in Parishville, New York on Sunday. The people were so sweet and kind, and "The future is as bright as God's promises". Of course, the whole family is excited and praying extremely hard right now. Join us if you would, please.
Welllllll......on Monday (our last full day in Powell) Dad met with Brady and he also met with Justin. If they weren't nervous, Grace and I were sweating bullets for them!! But it all went good and of course I couldn't be happier. (I'll let Grace tell her story - she can speak for herself). I'm just so happy about the whole thing. I can't believe that I have someone as wonderful and sweet as he, but I horribly miss Justin. He's traveling with a singing group this summer in New England and it will be three months till I see him again.
Here's some juicy new news....Jack (Brittany) is going to England!!!! Once again a friend leaves me for the UK. I couldn't be more excited for her, though. Danielle get's pretty ecstatic about the thing, too lol. She ALSO needs prayer because she needs like boko money for this but "God will make a way!"
Lord willing, I'll be working soon and the summer will officially get kicked off. Until then I'm content to lounge around in my pajamas, play my piano, and patronize my ocean.

And I'm Feeling Good!

OH spring break was so much fun! I enjoyed being home so much. We didn't do too much, but what we did do was fun.

I absolutely loved spending time with Danielle, even though SOMETHING happens everytime lol this time it was her car breaking down...wow is that a long story...

but ANYWAYS! I just decided to post a couple pictures that I enjoy:
this is the bridge in the distance that Dani and I walked across...
these are the boats at the manatee observation deck, that Dani and I got stranded at...lol...
This is just a sign that I liked...
And this is my town!! so pretty :)

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when the day is done
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me

And...I'M FEELING GOOD!

Sunshine in My Soul!!

There is sunshine in my soul today and I'm happy, oh so happy!
I have officially been on Sping break for like 3 days now, and I am in Sunny Florida! Everything is going great. Yesterday I was with danielle all day and when we stopped to take pictures at the Manatee Museum, her car broke down. So instead of doing the logical thing, and calling my mom to come give us the car, we decided that we sould walk about 2 miles to an island where we could walk on the beach. So we walked over the bridge to the inlet. It was so much fun! Well, hopefully I wiil have some pix to post up here sometime soon...we'll just have to see! ....When Jesus shows His smiling face, there is Sunshine in My Soul!

All Hail Bro. Pauley!!

So our Bible Doctrine II class was relocated to the Curtis Hudson Center this morning because of the Fine Arts Competition going on for the TBA. Once again the illustrious sophomore class of 2008 honored Bro. Pauley with gifts of food. This time we gave him Cap'n Crunch and a half gallon of milk for breakfast. He really doesn't realize that he mentions food in class and that we'll be dumb enough to get it for him in the next class!!
Everything is going good. Life is extremely hectic, but that is college and it's all worth it. I may die eventually but this semester I refuse.
Well, I guess that's all that there's to report on life. Nothing interesting (hence the pic of Bro. Pauley's breakfast and the story!!)

Strange things...

So we took our trip to the wonderful state of Mississippi. Our parents came and picked us up so that we could all go down together. Even tho we had only been gone to college for 2 or 3 weeks, it was fun being with my family. We always have crazy fun together..lol...since my camera sorta went the way of file 13 I have no pictures of my own. Isn't that sad?? Well i think it is. So these pictures are all stolen material (off my mom's camera) haha but they're all pretty funny anyways...

Not that this picture really needs an explanation..but really is my brother EVER going to get married? He's crazy..

Not that i have to say it, but...point proven!

Steph has this really strange abilities...but what's even weirder is that fact that she prides herself in showing them off.....here is a prime example of this......

On a better note...her's a pretty picture of me and my mom!

Besides our lovely trip to Mississippi, everything is going really good. I'm typing this while im sitting at a tabel in the great hall cuz classes are canceled due to all the ice on the roads. Its really crazy, there was already 10 accidents on the road leading to the school.

So as you can guess, its pretty cold outside...and here i am a sorry Floridian that gets cold when it gets below 60o...and its like in the teens here! yeah im ready to die! lol But until i do die, i'll just continue going to classes and doin my homework...exciting i know, but hey not everyone can all the fun in life.

Hey Ya'll! so basically I am bored! It is nice to not be in the classroom without any plans for a few hours, but I am ready for my classes, they're all going to be really, really good.
I'm very thankful to be here and that I can be with my friends. They are such an encouragement to me on a daily basis. At times I wonder what I would do without each and every one of them. They keep me on track -- spiritually, emotionally, and physically (Jack is always dragging me to dinner!). I am so blessed....for sure and for certain.
Well, that's enough sentimentality for one day. I'll post when something interesting happens like being asked to the Valentine's Banquet (ya right!!)

So with absolutely nothing to do, im excited....nothing like flying in early to college, talk about not having a life lol so hopefully i will have time to post a little more often than i did on break......but we'll just have to see!

It's a Wonderful Life!!

Well, ya'll, very shortly and Christmas break will be over, classes will resume, and our schedules will be filled to over flowing. Oh, how much I do love being home and being with my family!! This has been such a wonderful and productive break for me. I can't tell you how much. When things are so great here, I find it difficult to pull myself away. But then I stop and remember the great church and ministries that I have missed, the friends who are not near, the thought-provoking studies, and all the wonderful good times that I share with each and every person that I find myself with. Thinking on these things, I can't help but feel a great desire to return to the place I love....Crown College of the Bible. Friends, may your journeys to this place we share be safe and without incident. I will see ya'll in Tennessee. -- Deege
