Hello all my friends.
I don't know if I really expect anyone to really read this, but in case you do I hope you think enough like Diana to understand the next few random thoughts.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my summer, and now as it's coming to a close I am sad again for a good thing to come to an end. I don't know if it's my hatred for the end of things, or everything happening at once, or just plain hormones but this seems to be so rough for me. Missing everyone gets old at times -- ya know. When I'm home I miss all my friends and acquaintances, and of course when I'm at school I miss my family so so much.
This summer has been a major learning experience. I think I may have finally learned all the lessons (or at least the major ones) the Lord had for me to learn last year (I'm such a slow learner!) And even though life's random and unexpected changes come, and they come fast, I am reminded that the future is only as bright as the promises of God! What an amazing future we have in store for us. Daily, I become more and more excited for what the next new day will bring. But what is even more thrilling to know is that tomorrow is a brand new day without any mistakes in it yet.
So no matter what this next semester may bring or the semester after that or even the semester after that, I hope that you and I will all look at each new morning as a great opportunity to do something. I just hope the something that we choose to do will be done together and that it will be done to achieve something great.
I'll see ya'll in a few weeks.

Make Yourself at Home
Hello everyone!! Meet the newest Gee in town -- Captian. Isn't he just the most adorable thing in the entire world?!?! Captian is only two months old and is just too cute to stand. He is a major cuddle bug, too! So I thought I'd introduce him to ya'll. Vixie, Grace's cat, still isn't too fond of him yet ... we're hoping she lightens up soon.
We got Captian about a week ago. He is Dad's cat. It was so great how we surpised Dad with the kitten. We had a friend over for dinner and a movie, and when Dad walked in from work, Grace told him that the bathroom sink needed to be looked at before Scott went in. Gracie had put the wee, little kitten in a box on top of the sink, and as soon as she said, "Dad, can you look at the sink?" The box fell off the sink with a thud! Well, to say the least Dad was a little shocked when he picked up the box and found a little tabby with big green eyes looking up at him.
This is Dad's cat so he had the privledge of naming him. The kitten is named after the poem "Captain, my Captain" about Abraham Lincoln. I just call him Kitten!

Totally Random
Ok, so alot of things have happened lately. I figured the best thing to do this is tell you about the few recent things in our lives and then give the photos for each. Hopefully, this won't be as confusing as dumping everything and letting you try to sort through my thought processes (which is quite ... um ... awkward!)
We went to our grandparent's in Sebastian, FL to visit for a day and to see my aunt and cousins that we haven't seen in a long while. My grandmother, being the wonderful florist and gardener, has an awesome landscaped garden. This of course means a major photo op and nice perspective pictures. Her avocado tree has avacodos growing on it!! I have never ever seen an avocado tree with fruit on it before and I thought maybe you hadn't either. Isn't it interesting?

My favorite cousin was there. I haven't seen him years and years. This is Ben Byers. His nmom said before dinner, "They're going to make a memory, but I don't know what it will be." Well, we made a memory. We had a food fight. He creamed sour cream all through my hair!! I had to rinse it all out with the garden house. Hence, why I'm soaking wet. It was so so so much fun. Picture that...me, in a food fight!

Scott and Petra Metzger are a fairly new couple in our church. They both graduated from PCC two years ago and are serving in our church. We had a game night at their house and had a total blast!! Cranium Wow was the challenge for the evening...it was a definate challenge! The newest addition to their family is Star. She's an adorable three pound kitten and Grace and I just love her to peices! I love spending time with the Scott and Petra because they're our age and even though they're married adults we still have crazy times together.

This last little bit is totally dedicated to 'totally random'. Grace, Danielle, and I were speding Saturday together, and these are the totally random and awkward pictures they took while I drove. I still can't figure out with on earth my sister could not keep her mouth closed and why Danielle had to do the same. WEIRD. Like I said before it's totally random, so please forgive me.

If you can't tell, I had a boring Thursday night and thought I'd make a big post with lots of pictures. A lot is happening and this summer is passing me by and I just got here!! I'll update again on the lives of two pathetic, musician Floridians once something else happens that's totally unplanned. Thanks for keeping in touch ya'll I miss you and pray for you constantly. I hope your lives are going well and that you're busy but not hecticly busy.

Summertime in my Soul (and in Florida!!)
So, yes, I'm definately a Florida baby, but this is CRAZY!! It is so unusually hot for the beginning of June. Monday it was 105 degrees!! But I love it so so so much. I've been working, going to the beach, sun bathing, and playing the piano. Basically, I'm in heaven!
The Turnpike has given me a first shift Wednesday through Saturday. I was amazed that I got my old shift and position back...It was supposed to be impossible, but nothing is impossible with God. Mondays and Tuesdays I work at the Odom's Orchid greenhouse. This is great becauase I get to work with Grace and Caleb and we have way too much fun together of course. John Odom is such a dear friend of my family and he and his wife wonderful Christians with a great heart. But with it being so hot the greenhouse has been unbearably warm at times. I come back dripping in sweat!! Ew gross! Totally out of character of Diana but it's fun and invigorating and only two days a week (bonus!!)
My ocean has given me a wonderul welcome. It is so beautiful and relaxing, I just can't get enough of it! I am definately getting a tan now. It has been years since I've had any color on my skin so this is a good change. But I did forget how much a sunburn hurts!!!
The church in New York called and we are not going there. I am very sad about this because I don't know what the Lord wants. I know the reason why I did not get on camp staff or in a singing group, it's because I have to witness to the people I work with at the Stuart Toll Plaza. Please pray for me and my family in regards to the future. Waiting can be so difficult at times.
Well, thus far that is basically it. I'm totally loving life and everything going. I miss all my friends wherever they are whether working at home or traveling in the states or around the world. (I also miss Justin ... ALOT!!!) I'll keep ya'll posted. Here are some random pics that I've taken lately.

They're Ba-a-a-ack!!!
Hey Ya'll!!!
Long time no see! Wow, has it EVER been a whirlwind of a life, let me tell you what. Obviously, I never did a post about England...by now though I'm sure you've all heard about it. By the way -- it was royally, stinking awesome!!
Now Grace and I are back in good, ole' sunny Floriday. Took us a while to get home, though. We spent a few days with the Cox's which was a major blast. Dad candidated at a church in Parishville, New York on Sunday. The people were so sweet and kind, and "The future is as bright as God's promises". Of course, the whole family is excited and praying extremely hard right now. Join us if you would, please.
Welllllll......on Monday (our last full day in Powell) Dad met with Brady and he also met with Justin. If they weren't nervous, Grace and I were sweating bullets for them!! But it all went good and of course I couldn't be happier. (I'll let Grace tell her story - she can speak for herself). I'm just so happy about the whole thing. I can't believe that I have someone as wonderful and sweet as he, but I horribly miss Justin. He's traveling with a singing group this summer in New England and it will be three months till I see him again.
Here's some juicy new news....Jack (Brittany) is going to England!!!! Once again a friend leaves me for the UK. I couldn't be more excited for her, though. Danielle get's pretty ecstatic about the thing, too lol. She ALSO needs prayer because she needs like boko money for this but "God will make a way!"
Lord willing, I'll be working soon and the summer will officially get kicked off. Until then I'm content to lounge around in my pajamas, play my piano, and patronize my ocean.
